(Press Release)  Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) announces two new rugged laptops, Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme  and Dell Pro Rugged 14 , purpose-built for field workers who need technology that performs in the harshest conditions.

From utility technicians troubleshooting infrastructure in extreme weather to public safety officers coordinating response efforts in the field, both devices are designed to keep workers productive when conditions are most demanding.

Why It Matters

Managing a fleet of devices across distributed field operations demands technology that won't let workers down. Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 give IT teams a standardised, manageable platform that combines field-grade durability, AI-ready performance and advanced connectivity for large-scale field deployments.

Laptops Built for the Job

Designed for workers across government, public safety, manufacturing, oil and gas, transportation and utilities, Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 are built to perform in the most demanding conditions. They are MIL-STD-810H certified for proven reliability with a temperature range of -29°C to 62°C, covering virtually any climate field workers might face. Displays feature gloved and water multi-touch support for use in personal protective equipment or wet conditions.

Both laptops are powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors that offload AI and background tasks, keeping the system responsive during long shifts. They offer optional private 5G,  Wi-Fi 7  and GPS for reliable connectivity and location tracking in remote locations. Hot-swappable batteries help ensure uninterrupted productivity for even the longest shifts. With up to a 5MP RGB+IR camera available on both laptops, workers can capture high-quality images and video in any environment.

Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 are equipped with Rugged Control Center , built-in software that makes critical device settings easily accessible. From GPS module configuration to custom hardware shortcuts and device customisation, it gives field workers the control they need to tailor their devices to the demands of the job.
